An absurd mockumentary set in a quaint town where two crime obsessed retail employees play detective when girls start disappearing in their own backyard. As the bodies are found, the klutzy but lucky women see if they can beat the cops to track the serial killer.

We wrote WELCOME TO KILLJOY because we love comedy and murder, and what better way to bring them together then with a single camera sitcom exploring both genres. Our story focuses on a supportive female friendship and the women’s infatuation with true crime. Because who isn’t obsessed with serial killers?! We are super excited about the show and have never seen anything that combined all of our favorite things on TV; dark comedy done through the lens of an overly friendly Midwestern constitution, mockumentaries that follow female driven characters and storylines, and of course murder. We hope you enjoy it!
